American Tyson Gay was very disappointed after losing to Usain Bolt in the men’s 100m final here on Sunday at the World Championships.
Gay, who won three golds at Osaka 2007, was left no chance as Bolt ran a stunning world-record 9.58 seconds for the win. Gay was second with a U.S. national record of 9.71 seconds.
Gay, who won three gold medals at Osaka 2007, had a miserable Olympic Games last year. He was not satisfied with the results.
“I am disappointed to have lost the race but I have run my fastest time. I cannot complain. Bolt ran a good race. I did my best but it was not good enough. I will keep on running and look forward to 200m.
